Growing your own organic food is a good choice. Growing organic foods is better for both the environment and also healthier for our bodies. However, it is not an easy task. It is a standard known fact that the land we use to grow organic produce should be at least three years without pesticides.
Health benefits include higher nutrient levels and lower pesticide residue. Also you can be assured that there are no additives, such as, preservatives and food colorings which cause chemical imbalance in the body. The soil, water and air are likewise benefited.

I have little doubt that you have been inundated with information on how to eat to improve your physique and/or performance. There are enough nutrition books at your local bookstore to tie-up every single one of your cerebral neurons for months on end. At least for the purposes of this article, I’m going to spare you nutrition intricacies like the latest information on Glut-4 transporter translocation and just give you the generic Cliff’s Notes (or Dr Clay’s Notes) on how to piece together meals and eating plans that will help you achieve your physique and/or performance goals.

The body, blood, skin, organs, bones, mucous, phlegm, water, etc. build up and break down, largely according to the food, nutrients provided. Edema is the accumulation of fluid in the soft tissues. It can occur anywhere in the body: head, arms, legs, etc and is generally caused by poor diet and or weak digestion. Edema is more common in women than in men.
The body digests, transforms food, nutrients into blood, into structure into function, into health or disease. There are only two kinds of nutrients: building and cleansing. Building nutrients (protein and fat) build and fuel all structure and function. Cleansing nutrients (water, minerals, sugar, etc.) reduce, cleanse, cool and moisten.

Do you have a tuff time making it through the day without getting sluggish and sleepy? Does it ever happen to you that once you sit down it is so hard to get back up as your energy is zapped? If so it is more common than you might think, and you are not alone. Most likely the reason for your lack of energy is the food you give your body as fuel.

Naturally Treat Arthritis - The Link between Nutrition and Arthritis
By Joe Barton
Is arthritis literally draining the life out of you? If you answered ‘yes’, you should pay close attention to this next sentence. What you eat and drink is determining how much your joints ache! Let me explain.
Over the past centuries, arthritis has been a plague for most civilizations. However, in recent decades arthritis cases have sky rocketed, particularly in developed countries. You would expect just the opposite, right? But still today, in some indigenous, primitive tribes there is NOT one case of arthritis. Even more amazing for these indigenous tribes, men and women live to almost 100 years of age and go on working (planting, gathering, harvesting) up till their dying day. Why is this? The answer to this question is also cure to arthritis.

There is not much today that is more important to families than their overall health, both physically and mentally. Sure it is nice to have financial security, a comfortable home and some perks along the way, but what good are all of these “extras” if one does not have the good health and stamina to enjoy them? It is easy to take a broad look across the United States these days and see a variety of health levels that families are living, both good and bad. There is truly an obesity epidemic going on right under our very noses in every state of the Union and a large portion of this statistic is children. That certainly brings home the old adage that children model what they see and if they see their parents living an unhealthy lifestyle, they are sure to emulate it. On the other hand, those choosing to watch their diet and eat right, exercise and take good care of their overall health are more than likely going to have children that will do the same.

As we grow older, the absorption and digestion of proteins and minerals becomes more difficult leading to a variety of ailments such as osteoporosis, fatigue, and chronic illness.
We can go a long way towards addressing these concerns by seeking out a few basic nutrients and nutritional supplements. Two vitamins that are essential for anyone over 50 include vitamin B-12 and vitamin D.

GastroIntestinal Reflux Disorder (GIRD) and Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) are two common digestive disorders that share similar symptoms: heartburn (burning sensation and or pain in the stomach and or chest, behind the breastbone), abdominal bloating, gas, nausea, shortness of breath and or acidic or sour taste in the throat. Both are generally caused by poor diet: too building or too cleansing.
Digestion is a very simple process. Food is taken via the mouth, chewed, mixed with saliva and sent down via the throat and esophagus into the stomach, where it is mixed with acid and enzymes. This mixture sits and ferments (souring process) before being sent down into the small intestines for further digestion and eventual nutrient absorption into the bloodstream.
