Aromatherapy Essential Oils, And Essential Oil Blends Are Used For Lifting And Calming Your Mood
The word, aromatherapy, was first used in the 1920s by French chemist René Maurice Gattefossé, who devoted his life to researching the healing properties of essential oils after a lucky accident in his perfume laboratory. The word aromatherapy is derived from two words Caroma which means smell and therapy which stands for healing. Aromatherapy is a form of alternative medicine that uses volatile liquid plant materials, known as essential oils and other scented compounds from plants for the purpose of affecting a person’s mood or health. Aromatherapy is a generic term that refers to any of the various traditions that make use of essential oils sometimes in combination with other alternative medical practices and spiritual beliefs. Aromatherapy restores or enhances mental, emotional, physical or spiritual health. Aromatherapy is an ancient yet timely and stunningly modern approach to total well-being that is in tune with nature. Scientific research has confirmed that aromatherapy influences our moods and emotions, relaxing or stimulating the body, mind and spirit.
