Weight loss for newbies sometimes becomes very complicated subject. In this article I want to give brief information for people who have just started their weight loss journey. There are many aspects in weight loss, you should consider and in this articles I will list five things, which are very important before you start to lose weight.

First of all, you should decide whether you are willing to spend money on gym membership fees. If you only want to lose weight, you can perfectly do that at home, but I would like to inform you, that if you want to work out at home you have to have a lot of motivation. A lot of weight loss newbies think that they’ll workout at home, but after few training sessions, their motivation disappear. If you know that you are a person, with a lack of motivation, you should definitely start you weight loss journey from a gym. Look around your local area, find people who go to those gyms and choose the one you will like. When you will go to a gym, you will automatically have motivation to go, because you have to pay money for it.

Once you have started to go to a gym, don’t make the same mistake, like all weight loss newbies do - don’t start to spend your money on food supplements and sports nutrition. I don’t want to say that it’s a bad thing, but you should first of all see some results and only after those results buy additional food supplements to improve your performance.

Having a mentor is another important very important thing. Talk to people in your gym, ask for advice. You don’t have to pay money for a private fitness instructor, just find a person who is already there where you want to be. This is another mistake all newbies do; they think that they will able to achieve everything on their own, but trust me - it is very hard to workout, without no one keeping you on the right track.

I would like to talk about other important thing, your training partner. If you haven’t got a training partner, you will never be able to workout with your maximum strength. Just think for a minute, what will happen if you will be doing bench press and suddenly you can’t lift your last rep. You can seriously harm yourself, if there’s no one in the gym, who can help you.

The last and probably most important thing all weight loss newbies should know, is that they forget to track their results. Take measurements of yourself, write them down and after every week, have a look at your list and check if you lost any weight or not. If you won’t do that, it simply means that you can’t manage yourself. The only person who will take care of you is you, so if you want to lose weight, you have to make that happen.
