It is supposed common knowledge by now that Omega-3 fish oil has a positive impact on our physical and emotional well being. In a recent Norwegian Study some problems concerning salmon grown on a vegetarian diet and the quality of their fatty acids was raised. It seems that more and more salmon is grown on a diet consisting of on a diet of vegetable fats. These are cheaper, more convenient and a good marketing argument then their natural counterparts.

Wigs are almost as old as civilization itself. The earliest recorded use of wigs comes from the days of ancient Egypt, dating back to about the 4th century BC. Shaved heads were the norm in ancient Egypt in order to protect from lice; however bald heads were very susceptible to the hot Egyptian sun. Wigs were developed to provide protection from the sun.
These early Egyptian wigs were made from various materials: palm fibers, sheep’s wool, animal hair and even precious metals such as gold and silver would be used in the production of wigs. Human hair was also used, particularly among wealthy Egyptians. As with anything dealing with appearance wigs quickly became a sign of status: the greater a person’s wealth and the higher their position in society the more elaborate their wig.

Alcohol and drug abuse in women is a prevalent issue in America. Studies have shown that approximately half of all women between the ages of 15 and 44 have tried some type of drug at least once in their lifetime, including alcohol. Many of these cases, according to The National Institute of Drug Abuse, go unreported, a troubling fact that further deepens the drug and alcohol abuse issue. On top of this, many women suffering from addiction will require rehabilitation at in-patient treatment centers, but often do not get it.
